Introduction
The Foundation for Innovators in Science and Technology (FIST) at IIT Patna is a premier incubator established under the NIDHI–TBI initiative of the Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. Registered as a Section 8 company, FIST is dedicated to advancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology-led development.
FIST aims to promote science and technology by creating state-of-the-art infrastructure that supports research and development across key sectors such as Agriculture, Manufacturing, Energy, and Water Management.
The foundation fosters a collaborative ecosystem that brings together industry and academia through joint ventures, consulting engagements, and technology partnerships.
In addition, FIST provides a strong knowledge base, laboratory access, and mentoring support to budding entrepreneurs in the region, enabling them to transform innovative ideas into impactful, scalable solutions.
